Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” Romans 12:1

The bunnies ate it! The fence… that is! I am still confused as to how it got done. Katie had planted some sunflowers, along with others, and I had erected this fence around the area. Within’ 24 hours they were GONE! I had written about this before, but have been flummoxed since as to HOW the wild rabbits got in there! Until she saw it!

Yesterday Katie walked out to find a rabbit INSIDE the fence! When she walked up to it, the rabbit escaped through a hole in the fence. Upon inspection, she discovered several chew holes in the fence. They had CHEWED on the FENCE before CHEWING on the FLOWERS. But before that, they had to look, long for and test out a plan!

All of this indicates that rabbits have the ability to reason out and execute a plan to satisfy a natural hunger. Upon SEEING a plant that they had never previously seen, they’re natural desire caused them to chew through unnatural plastic to achieve their goal. In light of today’s verse… if a dumb bunny can do it… I’m afraid… so can ‘I’!

That is the point of the verse today. Man is born a sinner with a natural desire to see something, and then want it so badly that he will do whatever it takes to get it. Even if that desire is evil. I am a man. I know! God tells me that now that I am His, I am to view His mercy and offer my body as a living sacrifice that pleases HIM and not ME!

I’m going to go chew on that for a while. How about YOU?
