“As long as the earth endures, seed-time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” Genesis 8:22

“It’s HOT!” That seemed to be the universal cry of everyone outside during the Memorial Day weekend. And it WAS! The kids didn’t even bother to check to see if the pool water was too cold. They just jumped right in. I did the same. It was the first time of the year I was able to say,”it feels good once you get in!” Hot weather says things!

For one, it tells me that summer is now officially here, which is not really a bad thing. In the summer, things slow down. NO one can go flat out, all the time at this time of year. That’s the reason they call them “the lazy days of Summer.” But for those of us who know people who do not know Jesus, the heat tells me that… there is still time!

Christians are ALL called to be Evangelists for Jesus Christ, proclaiming His gift of Salvation to the ‘lost’ of this world. Since I meet people who do not yet know Him, I have, by the heat index, an encouraging signal, based upon today’s Bible verse, that I still have some time! That may sound silly, but in reality, ‘The End’ isn’t here… YET!

Today is supposed to be hot and sunny again. Which means that… so far, I still have time to tell someone about the love and Grace of God toward all who are lost! That means I can be intentional in my day for God. Do YOU know someone who doesn’t know Jesus? If so, why not pray and plan how you can reach them while there is time!
